Starting With Ingredients: Baking

This past weekend we were delighted to host Aliza Green, author of the recently published book, Starting With Ingredients: Baking. Aliza is a wealth of knowledge about the science and lore of baking. She shared important basic information about the chemistry of baking, how ingredients work together and helpful tips and pointers for both novice and experienced bakers. She also demonstrated some delectable baked goods, both sweet and savoury such as Chocolate Hazelnut Pear Torte and Cheddar and Chive Gougeres.
