On Tuesday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m. Hiroko Shimbo, authority on Japanese cuisine and author of classics, The Japanese Kitchen and The Sushi Experience, graces the kitchen at Books to Cooks with her new book, Hiroko’s American Kitchen: Cooking with Japanese Flavors. Not a fusion nor a Westernized cookbook on Japanese cuisine, Hiroko’s American Kitchen treats local, sustainable ingredients with classic Japanese techniques and seasoning for a truly unique yet authentic experience.
