I first met Alex Chen when he was a very young chef, willfully honing his craft in the French kitchen, He left Vancouver for many years, working as chef at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Alex returned to Vancouver a few years ago with a particular mission, to represent Canada at the prestigious Bocuse d'Or event in Lyon, France this past January.
This evening, Alex will cook a dinner from one of the classic Chinese cookbooks we are proud to sell in our shop, Yan-Kit So's Chinese cookbook. Imagine how delightful this experience will be, a French chef, inspired by a classic cookbook, his heritage and skill will be our pleasure to enjoy.
