Bob Foulkes has been passionately pursuing adventure for some time now. His first book, Adventures with Knives (published by french apple press, Barbara-jo's publishing company), documented his six months as the oldest student in his class at Vancouver's Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts.
And now we are hosting an event to celebrate his second book, Off the Couch and Out the Door: Finding Meaning in Midlife, One Adventure at a Time. Inspired by his children and a previously stressful life, Bob chose to pursue a life filled with adventure and encourages us to do the same, whatever our age, means or circumstances. The story begins here in B.C. on an Outward Bound trek through the Coast Mountains and recounts Bob's subsequent travels to Morocco, India, Kuwait, Ukraine and more.
Join us this evening to celebrate Bob's new book with him.
Cost: $25, includes a copy of Off the Couch and Out the Door: Finding Meaning in Midlife, One Adventure at a Time.
