Tonight's Sunday Supper comes to you courtesy of Chef David Gunawan of The Farmer's Apprentice here in Vancouver. Tonight Chef Gunawan will be behind the Books to Cooks hob, cooking a supper full of vibrant Thai flavours inspired by Pok Pok: Food and Stories from the Streets, Homes and Roadside Restaurants of Thailand, the new book from the famed Pok Pok restaurants.
Named after the sound a wooden pestle makes when it strikes a clay mortar, the restaurants are now located in both Portland and New York. The book shares chef/owner Andy Ricker's stories of travel in Thailand as well as seventy of the restaurant's most popular recipes.
Cost: $120, includes a Thai Sunday Supper, and a copy of Pok Pok: Food and Stories from the Streets, Homes and Roadside Restaurants of Thailand.
