This year we are honouring a few of our favourite authors who have provided us with a rich legacy of knowledge and recipes but who are either unable to visit the shop or are no longer with us.
This evening we are celebrating Penelope Casas, an American food writer, cookbook author and expert on the food of Spain. Penelope worked hard to describe Spanish culinary culture and ingredients, and was one of the first authors to introduce tapas bars to her readers. She has written seven cookbooks and tonight we will draw from two: Tapas: The Little Dishes of Spain and Paella! Spectacular Rice Dishes from Spain.
Chef Glenys Morgan will be manning the Books to Cooks Tapas Bar and Paella Pan tonight.
Cost: $120, includes your Spanish Sunday Supper and your choice of either Tapas: The Little Dishes of Spain or Paella! Spectacular Rice Dishes from Spain. (Guests will choose which book they would like to take home at the event.)
