Explores an Asian Dreamland

Barbara-Jo’s Social Club members will become culinary voyagers to Asia this season, as we explore the food cultures of Japan, China, Vietnam, and India. Fourteen lively and well-rounded foodies are invited to join this intimate group, which will come together for a series of seven events. Members will explore the intricate arts of making sushi, noodles, and tea, and will also enjoy such indulgences as an epicurean tour of Chinatown and a Bollywood-inspired feast.

The Next Volume

We are pleased to be entering the fourth season of this resoundingly popular series, which marries foodie books with literary meals. Club membership makes a wonderful present for any food or book lover, yourself included. Cost of membership is $550.00 and includes five unforgettable books and meals, as well as one superb cocktail reception. The club will be intimate, consisting of a maximum of ten members.

One-Book Cookbook Club

Following the odyssey that dozens of Improvisational Cooks embarked on last autumn, with nothing but Sally Schneider's cookbook and their sense of adventure to guide them, we are pleased to announce the sequel to The One-Book Cookbook Club. This season's featured book is one that fairly demands the attentions of such a major undertaking. Its claims are based on outstanding recipes (many of which are staff favourites), a serious respect for seasonal and local ingredients, and its author's eloquent yet relaxed prose.
